Tundra Truck Auxiliary Remote Air Conditioning and Heating Systems
US Patent 5899081	Tundra auxiliary remote truck air conditioning and heating systems are designed to cool or heat the living quarters without running the truck's diesel engine - saving fuel and preserving the environment. The systems run on 115VAC electricity, which is supplied by a shorepower connection or auxiliary power unit (APU). The complete remote system consists of an externally mounted condensing unit and an inside evaporator unit which is mounted in the sleeper compartment. Systems use R417A refrigerant - an environmentally friendly HFC gas. See more information below, including links to detailed specifications and manual.
EXTERNAL UNIT Consists of a condenser, cooling fan and other components Rugged 304 stainless steel enclosure Designed for corrosion and vibration resistance Available in 10,000 or 14,000 BTU capacities INSIDE UNIT Consists of a compressor, evaporator and blower Compact unit for easy mounting in out-of-the-way location Quite, powerful squirrel-cage blower Rotary compressor inside sound shield Prewired electrical connections for easy installation Available in 10,000 or 14,000 BTU capacities Built-in 2.0 or 2.5 KW electric heat strips
Note: The system is rated to provide full capacity at 95°F (35°C) outside temperature. Actual performance will be affected by factors such as ambient temperature and humidity, insulation, direct sunlight and reflected heat. Models beginning with EHCDX = Compressor/Evaporator/Blower Unit. Models beginning with ACCD = Condenser/Fan Unit.
